Tecuya Mountain GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Tecuya Mountain is located just north of Frazier Park and is best accessed via the Cold Springs Trail. The trail begins on an old gravel road heading generally north towards some cool-looking, cliffy hills. At first, I thought this was the summit, but you can't see the high point from here.

The trail bends west onto an ATV trail, then enters a slightly more forested setting and begins climbing pretty steeply up the slope. Some tight switchbacks, clearly not built with foot traffic as a priority, lead to the south ridge of Tecuya Mountain. From here, it's a steep slog north to the high point, with some really nice views of the surrounding area along the way.

You could turn this into a loop by continuing northwest from the summit and descending via Cold Springs Canyon, but I was content to just head back the way I came.
