Tallulah Gorge Floor and Rim Loop GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Hiking the north and south rims of Tallulah Gorge do not require a permit, but to follow the floor, you do need the free permit (100 available per day, so get there very early on weekends), and in my opinion it's the reason to come to Tallulah Gorge State Park. Head down to Hurricane Falls where a gate reads "permit required past this point", so after getting your permit, go past the gate and cross below Hurricane Falls before following the north bank of the river. Pass Oceana Falls, and then head to Bridal Veil Falls, where you can slide down. You aren't allowed past this, though, so cross to the south bank and take the Sliding Rock Trail up to the South Rim. Follow this to the highway, above the dam, and continue back into the park to complete the loop.
