Rocktown Loop GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

I think one of the many perks of being able to road trip all the time is being able to find gems in places you wouldn't expect, such as this loop in Kansas, the Rocktown Loop. The trail leads through a meadow using a trail carved by lawnmowers to some pretty sandstone bluffs on Wilson Lake. The bluffs are also accessible by boat, but the loop hike is short and really pretty. In addition to the featured bluffs, the loop has some nice rolling hills and had wildflowers during my visit. Good work, Kansas!

Google maps tries to take you on a gated road. Just go farther down into Lucas Park and pass the pay booth. Follow the sign that points right to legally bypass the gated road.
