Robertson Mountain via Corbin Hollow Loop GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Robertson Mountain is a lesser-visited peak due to its proximity to the much more popular Old Rag Mountain. Though not as interesting, the trail is still really pleasant and has some lovely running water sounds for part. The upper trailhead is closed, causing the hike to increase 1.6 miles round trip on pavement to get to the main trailhead from the larger, now official Old Rag Trailhead.

From the trailhead, I followed the paved road to the upper Old Rag Trailhead, and rather than take the Old Rag Trail, continued west on the gravel fire road until I met with the Corbin hollow Trail junction. The southern (left) part of the loop wa the one I followed first, though, so I continued for a few hundred feet until the second junction, taking this trail up the ridge to the Robertson Mountain summit. The trail continued on its north side, briefly joining the Old Rag Fire Road before continuing east along Brokenback Run, leading back to the initial fire road to complete the loop, and then back to the trailhead.

Start by walking along the road since the upper trailhead is closed.

Eventually, the pavement ends at the Old Rag Trailhead. Head right up the gravel forest road, which leads to this bridge eventually.

Turn off from the gravel road after a few miles and head up toward Robertson Mountain. I took the second turn-off, so that I'd do the loop clockwise.
