Ramapo Torne, Russian Bear, Cascade of Slid Loop GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

I highly recommend you purchase the New York - New Jersey Trail Conference map here. There are a lot of trails in Harriman State Park and not only will this map not get you lost, you can also change my route and add/remove trails.

Starting from the Reeves Meadow Visitor Center, hike along the Pine Meadow Trail (red blaze) for a short time and turn left onto the Seven Hills Trail (blue blaze). Keep an eye peeled for the Hillburn – Torne – Sebago Trail (orange blaze) on the right, which will take you up a short, steep, and pleasant stretch to Ramapo Torne, a short Class 2 section along the way. Missing the Hillburn – Torne – Sebago Trail will skip this fun section completely. From Ramapo Torne, continue along the Hillburn – Torne – Sebago Trail past Russian Bear and onward over Chimpmunk Mountain, and down to the Cascade of Slid, a series of small cascades along Pine Meadow Brook. Follow the popular Pine Meadow Trail (red blaze) back to the trailhead.
