Mount Shavano and Tabeguache Peak GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Starting from the Mount Shavano/Tabeguache Peak Trailhead, I started along the Colorado Trail until a junction with a sign point to Mt. Shavano. I followed the nice trail through the forest and then above treeline, where it continued to be easy to follow and well-maintained, if a little rocky. The trail led to a saddle on the south side of Mount Shavano, where the grade got a bit steeper, and led to the summit. Reaching the summit had some light Class 2. From Mount Shavano, I looked northwest toward Tabeguache Peak and started along the Class 2 ridgeline down to the saddle separating the two 14ers. The route was easy to follow, and there was more easy Class 2 to Tabeguache Peak's summit. This 14er duo is a little annoying because reaching Tabuguache Peak means going up and over Mount Shavano and then returning over Shavano, but the views are wonderful.
