I dropped into a wash and then took the slope seen ahead.
Along the nearly brush-free slope I chose.
View back, my car somewhere in the center.
My route heads up the slope on the left, a canyon serving as some nice scenery on the right.
A few steeper sections along the way but animal trails aided in keeping the bushwhacking nearly nonexistent.
Some minor lumps.
Higher up the terrain became a bit more rocky and had some additional cacti to avoid.
McLendon Peak seen ahead on the left.
McLendon Peak.
View back along the ridgeline.
A final push to the summit.
McLendon Peak, view south.
McLendon Peak, view north.
McLendon Peak, view east back the way I came.
