Leon Peak GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Follow the Leon Lake Trail until you get to the southeast ridge leading to Leon Peak. There are a few sets of cairns to follow, but if you can't spot them, you'll be fine as long as you stay on the crest. I took a different route up than I did coming down. Once on the crest of the ridge, more boulders begin to appear until you get into a full-blown talus field that takes some time to wrestle. The historic lookout tower on the summit pokes up into view eventually, and looks farther away than it is.
