Hillsboro Peak via Black Range Crest Trail GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Starting from Emory Pass, the well-maintained Black Range Crest Trail heads through the forest with some great views of the surrounding Black Range. Shortly after the trail begins, it intersects a forest road and follows it past some maintanence buildings before continuing along the trail. The grade of the trail is quite mellow, and the route has some reall good scenery, despite being in a burn area. The last mile is within live trees and heads up to a fire tower. The summit features a small meadow.

Cross-O mountain visible ahead. There was no trail to its summit, and the terrain and brush was unfriendly, so I skipped it.
