Lemon Squeezer via Fingerboard Mountain GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

I highly recommend you purchase the New York - New Jersey Trail Conference map here. There are a lot of trails in Harriman State Park and not only will this map not get you lost, you can also change my route and add/remove trails.

This loop holds a special place in my heart as one of the first hikes I've done in Harriman State Park, a place I would grow to love and ultimately hike in regularly. This time was certainly not my first nor last, but I had never documented it before.

Starting from Lake Tiorati, follow the Lake Tiorati Trail (blue blaze) that parallels a paved road (or just follow the road), and then get onto that paved road and follow it until the Long Path (green blaze) appears on the left. Take the Long Path until a junction with the Appalachian Trail, which forms a figure 8 loop – you'll be coming back on the A.T. on the way back. I chose to take the northern part of the "8" rather than stay on the Long Path (see map), but either way you choose, you'll end up at the Lemon Squeezer. From here, head back on the A.T. and over Fingerboard Mountain in order to complete the loop. You pass an A.T. shelter called "Fingerboard Shelter" on the way back. Take the Lake Tiorati Trail (blue blaze) back to the trailhead.
