Gregory Bald can be reached from many different routes, but I was hoping to plan a nice loop from the south. This hike starts from the Twentymile Trailhead, then heads north along the Wolf Ridge Trail. This pretty woods trail continues to Gregory Bald before continuing southeast down the Long Hungry Ridge Trail. This will eventually meet up with the Twentymile Trail, which passes Twentymile Cascade, a very pretty series of waterfalls in the lush Smoky Mountains. This trail meets back up with the Wolf Ridge Trail to complete this fairly long Gregory Bald loop.
