Gold Hill via Long Canyon Trail GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Gold Hill is a nice peak to the north of New Mexico's high point, Wheeler Peak. The standard trail to reach the summit is fairly tame, and is well-marked and easy to follow. I started along the mostly forested Long Canyon Trail, which slowly heads up to the rolling ridgeline above. The hike breaks above treeline and continues through pretty tundra up to Gold Hill. The summit is high enough in prominence that the views toward the surrounding peaks are unobscured and really nice.
