I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Apparently a mining company has been the cause of a long-term closure of the Fish Canyon Falls Trail. If it reopens, my trail map and trailhead coordinates will likely be inaccurate due to rerouting.

After a half mile hiking through a loud and active quarry, Fish Creek's flowing water and relatively lush drainage drowns out the human-made unpleasantness as you hike deeper into the canyon. Though a fairly crowded trail, the hike is nice and is sort of a Los Angeles classic. Along the way there are little falls within the creek that add to the ambiance. Fish Canyon Falls is beautiful and much larger than I expected, and the well-constructed path makes for an enjoyable stroll in SoCal's San Gabriel Mountains.

The unfortunate start to a pretty hike. This goes on for about a half mile.

Once you get to the trail, the creek is loud enough to block out the construction and the bright green of the San Gabriels says hi.

The construction in the distance after walking through the canyon for a bit. Fish Creek is to the left.

Soon, the canyon gets a bit narrower and deeper, marking your approach to the falls.
