This report is from before I put more time into writing and taking route photos, so it may not be very helpful. I'm keeping it up for the memories, and will one day hopefully return to better document. Find other reports in this region.
Jan 19, 2015 — This hike follows the Enchanted Rock Summit Trail to the high point of Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, Enchanted Rock. The trail begins by heading north to the base of the impressive dome, then disappears. The hike up to the rounded summit is straightforward enough, since the landscape is just a big heap of open rock, and despite clear trail markers it should be a no-brainer on how to get up. There are some pretty puddles set within pockets in the slickrock, and the views are quite nice from up here.
