City of Rocks State Park has thousands of huge boulders that form a labyrinth-like playground. The park's unique rock formations were formed by volcanic activity over 30 million years ago. Some of these big hunks of stone rise up to 40 feet high and create a maze-like landscape, resembling a "city" made of stone. There's a good trail system to explore the area and wandering around the rocks made for a nice afternoon excursion.
