Circleville Mountain GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

Circleville Mountain is a relatively high-prominence peak in the Tushar Mountains, set a bit away from the larger and more outstanding peaks to the north. Despite not sharing the same vibes as its neighbors, Circleville Mountain is a scenic, tame outing. Any car can make it to where I parked, the hike starting south on a rocky spur road. You could drive another half mile to where there's a locked gate if you prefer, removing about a mile round-trip from my stats. I passed the gate, continuing along this winding road until it ended at a lookout to the southeast. Here, the final remains of another road begin west along the ridgeline, but this soon turns to an animal trail. This trail continued through the forest and emerged at what seemed like some sort of small survey marker construction.

Circleville Mountain was visible farther along the rim, but the trail was now gone, replaced by mostly meadows and minimal clumps of trees. A short section as I neared the summit got a bit steeper, but is barely worth noting. Although the terrain is a bit rockier closer to the rim, I was able to avoid anything remotely resembling scrambling, as well as all bushwhacking. While the views were nice at the summit of Circleville Mountain, they were similar to the last mile or so of the hike. I spent more than a few minutes taking in the views since this was my final hike for a pretty extended trip.
