Bear Mountain GPX Track

I need to offset my substantial website costs somehow! You can download a hike/drive GPX to assist you here. Before sharing my GPX tracks with others, please remember my site is otherwise a free resource.

This is a short and sweet little hike with some minor views. It's an accessible and short hike, making it a good add-on to something bigger, or as a quick afternoon endeavor if you're near Silver City, New Mexico. I parked just off Bear Mountain Road at a small parking area and started along the trail, which begins as just an old road before narrowing into a true singletrack trail. The trail is surprisingly well-maintained and relatively steep. There were hints of views as I made progress up the peak, but all were minimally interesting until finally the summit gave a slightly more expansive look at the desert to the north.
