Baldy Point climbing area.

Along the Baldy Point Trail, headed around Baldy Point.

Along the Cedar Creek Trail, just an extension of the Baldy Point Trail.

Cedar Creek Trail.

Cedar Creek Trail becomes Black Jack Pass Trail, but at this point, the trail starts to become less visible.

I was totally off-trail, I thought, until I saw this rusted sign and knew the trail was just very overgrown. I decided to just go up to the boulders and explore for a bit.

Exploring at the base of the hills.

Looking toward Baldy Point.

Pretty grasses along the base of the hills.

Lush stream and cool rocks.

Rejoin with the trail, this one called the Cedar Valley Trail. Yay biting flies!

Baldy Point ahead.

Cedar Valley Trail, looking back the way I came.

I decided on my way back to scramble up to Baldy Point via a southeast gully (Class 2).

Looking back down the gully.

Baldy Point high point ahead.

Baldy Point High Point looking east.

Heading down the north sid eof Baldy Point.

A use trail brought me back down to the Cedar Creek Trail, right where it turns into the Black Jack Trail. I took the Cedar Creek Trail back to my car. It was very hot out.
