This report is from before I put more time into writing and taking route photos, so it may not be very helpful. I'm keeping it up for the memories, and will one day hopefully return to better document. Find other reports in this region.

This loop in Badlands National Park passes many gorgeous badlands formations through sandy prairies and desert. Starting on the Medicine Root Trail, complete the loop by heading back on the Castle Trail. I saw tons of prairie dogs as well as big-horned sheep, and the vast spectrum of yellow and brown hues keep the landscape really interesting.
