This report is from before I put more time into writing and taking route photos, so it may not be very helpful. I'm keeping it up for the memories, and will one day hopefully return to better document. Find other reports in this region.

Sep 30, 2012 — Fairy Falls is a nice watefall destination in Yellowstone National Park, but the real sight is Grand Prismatic Spring along the way. The bright blue water of the spring is contrasted by unreal orange and red hues caused by pigmented bacteria. It's 160 feet deep and can heat to over 180 degrees. There's a small hill to climb up to get a really nice view of the spring from above before continuing on the trail up to Fairy Falls.
