I parked just off Echo Canyon Road and headed up the major wash in the center of this photo.
Headed up the wide wash.
View back the way I came. The wash is steeper than it seems.
A false summit of Winters Peak is visible top left.
Continuing up the wash to its head, the ridgeline.
On the ridgeline, view back into the wash I ascended from.
Finally, a view into Death Valley, north.
Ascending along the ridge, going west.
View back, I came up from the drainage on the right.
Winters Peak ahead.
Winters Peak summit, view back the way I came.
Winters Peak summit, view west toward Zabriskie Point.
Winters Peak, view toward the wash I came up. Schwaub Peak visible top center.
